The Volunteer will work closely with the Programs and Administration Support Officer WHRDN-U and should be willing to add value by offering relevant skills and experience to the growing organization.
The incumbent will gain experience in working with a national network and take part in promoting the rights and protection of WHRDs as well as raising the visibility of the violence and risks WHRDs face.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelors’ Degree from accredited University in any of the areas; Gender studies Mass communication, community psychology, social sciences, development studies, Political Sciences or any other related fields ∙

• Evidence excellent writing and public speaking skills

• Must have proven interest in reading and researching

• MUST have one year - proven –work - experience with a Women rights or human rights organization

• Experience in organizing outreach activities and trainings

• Must be people-oriented, sociable, approachable, socializing skills, out-going and dynamic and a team player

• Experience in mobilizing and sensitizing communities

• Must have worked on Gender Based Violence or Sexual Reproductive Health Rights

• Confidence and ready to speak before large audiences and crowds ∙ Must believe in women’s rights and feminist values

• Must be ready to work under pressure to meet deadlines and ability to multi-task (very desired)

• Flexible, adaptable, and will to travel up country for field work

• Demonstrate commitment feminism principles and end Violence Against Women and, human rights,

All suitably qualified and interested candidates should send their application letters with detailed  CVs indicating 3 referees, two of whom should have been direct supervisors and addressed to the Executive Director and submitted to [email protected].

a) Day to day workplace management

• Assist with maintaining proper filling and records systems.

• Assist with handling incoming calls, receiving visitors, answering phone queries, direct calls to relevant staff.

b) Administrative operations

• Assist with following up with resource persons and consultants.

• Assist with following up with consultants/resource persons

• Assist with scheduling and following up staff periodic planning meetings 4. Assist with liaising with the website focal person

• Assist with scheduling staff activity debrief meetings

• Assist with following up with staff reports including activity reports, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports

• Assist with coordinating staff development sessions

c) Program Support

• Assist with planning and organizing of program events

• Assist with facilitating relevant trainings and workshops for WHRDs 3. Assist with writing activity reports

• Any Other duties assigned to you.
